Vietnam, Oregon Generals visit Vietnam War Memorial in Portland

A delegation from Vietnam joins Oregon National Guard leadership for a visit to the Vietnam War Memorial at Washington Park in Portland, Ore., April 17.

Tran Quang Khue, Deputy Chief of General Staff for the Vietnam People's Army; and Maj. Gen. Raymond F. Rees, The Adjutant General, Oregon.

The visit includes a week-long visit to Oregon as part of the State Partnership Program and a workshop April 17-19, which includes experts in several fields including academics, economics, port and maritime security, search and rescue, and humanitarian aid.

Both Khue and Rees are veterans of the Vietnam War.
