All Star Salute to Oregon Military a rockin' good time

KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer rocks the house at the All-Star Salute to the Oregon Military, held at the Oregon Golf Club, May 18. Tommy was joined by his brothers, former Oregon Governors Vic Atiyeh and Ted Kulongoski, and retired former Oregon Army National Guard Brig. Gen. James B. Thayer, who was the guest of honor.

The event raised nearly $250,000 for the Oregon Military Museum’s Capital Campaign. The newly-renovated museum will be named in honor of the elder Thayer, who served in Europe during WWII and following his enlistment from the active duty Army, as the commander of the Oregon State Defense Force.
