Oregon Army National Guard Soldiers of the 41 Infantry Brigade Combat Team’s Honor Guard prepare to post the colors of three countries during the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) Day ceremony, held at the 41 Infantry Division Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC) Memorial Quad at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas, Ore., April 15. Traditionally held at dawn, the event marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I, and commemorates the battle-forged friendships formed when the 41st Division fought alongside the Australian Army in New Guinea and the Philippines in World War II.
