Oregon Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Peter Fritsch, of the 1249 Engineer Battalion, is welcomed home by his wife Dori, shortly after his unit’s return to the Salem Municipal Airport, in Salem, Ore., Dec. 12. Fritsch, of Camas, Wash., and approximately 125 of his fellow Soldiers were part of the second group to arrive on a direct flight to the Salem airport. The first group of 51 Soldiers arrived in Salem on Dec. 8.
