Chitwood returned to Oregon with approximately 51 Soldiers, following a 400-day mobilization to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The unit's primary role was command and control, while providing support for Task Force Gridley. Another group of the unit’s Soldiers is scheduled to return to Oregon on or around Dec. 12.
