Soldier Engineers with the Oregon Army National Guard’s 224 Engineer Company operate heavy equipment during a construction project at the Detroit Lake Recreation Area, near Detroit Lake, Ore., Nov. 16. Engineers with the unit plan to dredge approximately 40,000 cubic yards of earth in order to open a boat access channel across Detroit Flats to the Detroit Marina, said Lt.
