Oregon Guard lends a hand in award winning student video

Voted the 2008 Best National Guard Action Hero film, "Surviving Emily" by Caroline Fraissinet dramatizes a documentary shoot in the Oregon woods gone wrong.

Shot and edited in less than seven days, films and videos submitted to the Samsung Mobile Fresh Films project coincides with Youth Fest 2008 at the American Film Institute's film festival in Hollywood, Calif. The event showcases teen writers, directors and filmmakers from around the country.

Surviving Emily was produced and shot with the help of the Oregon Army National Guard's Joint Forces Headquarters, Recruiting and Retention Command and the 641 Aviation Company.
